Hey Amy,

The songs on your new demo are as amazing as the stuff on _Heroine_; how do you keep doing it? Hope you don't mind, I "borrowed" "Aaron's Song" at Alexa's open mic. With luck I'll catch you performing some time soon.
Marc

Hi Amy, thought about stopping by and tell you that you were great on Friday at Sidewalk. Either slowing down and having some fun, or giving everything to find out who you are...you are on an inspiring journey and you are beautiful!

Thanks again for the use of your guitar at your open mic. I had fun and it made up for a week that didn't go to well performance wise. Also, I think the lottery is a good idea. It's a relief not to have to gnaw at the bone, aka the signup, just to get a piece.

i remember a brother of mine screaming at me "it's just disappearing into the ether!!" this was about my blog i think. i think maybe you appear in my blog somewhere if it's still around somewhere... like i ain't read beaudrillard cos i'm a steppenfetchit? i haven't considered the qualities of prayer? disappearing into the ether is where it's at. those silly simps last night all adither with "what is to be done?" the same shit we always do. disappear some more shit into the ether and walk on. you disappear me as you want child but you might want to save copies for your files. here i give you absolute copyright to this piece. this piece of ethereal graffitti absolutely forever belong to amy hills i do swear it. you may be more marketable in the short run child, but over the long haul i got some artistic juju you can't muster. ...i don't hardly save anything any more... i like the idea of things disappearing... and actually that's pretty much exactly the juju you can't muster yet...

black boxes are a hell of a lot more happening than bars. selling beer is a sorry way to make a living... me, i'm thinking pretty hard about going to live in afghanistan which sounds a lot more my cup of tea than new york which has gotten pretty lame. but if i was a young person like you i'd think about black boxes and kids and dogs. me i have always found playing for dogs to be the best. and upper east side dogs got a surprisingly high disposable income.

I just listened to your entire CD, which I got free at your Sidewalk show a week or so ago, the one with Chicken and Aaron's Song. I am at work, in a .com office in the Chelsea market, in my f-ing cubicle with my headphones on, and I was made to feel. I really like your music. Ever heard of Paul Curreri? He's good like you are, in a South Carolina, well he's Virginia, way. But where is the Door is a door is a door song I heard at the show?

Hey Amy, what's up. Site looks cool. Nice to see you're enjoying living the everyday life. I can really resonate with your latest diary entry about stepping outside your comfort zone and moving to new places. Amy,

Thanks for being such a great host(ess?) at the DT-UT open mic. Don't change a thing about how you run it. I've been there twice, and both times it was friendly, egalitarian, genuinely entertaining, and, most importantly, there's a really good vibe, thanks largely to your positive attitude and good cheer. Keep your sunny side up, (or your moony side down), and great things will come your way!

Who would have thought that nine years later I'd run into you at my coffee shop? So strange, I'm still reeling and running all these scenarios through my head, I came so close to leaving last night but I decided to stay at the last minute. So what happens now? Do we just wait to randomly run into each other again in another eight or nine years? No, coffee or tea is a nice place to start. Wow, Amy Hills, good to see you.
